The proposed development relates to a mixed enterprise and residential scheme. The proposed development site is partly located within a flood risk area and was environmentally sensitive owing to its location upstream from Galway Bay SAC and Inner Galway Bay SPA. The application had previously been refused for a number of substantive reasons.
Our required inputs for this project included an Appropriate Assessment Screening Report with cross reference to a Flood Risk Assessment, a Natura Impact Statement, an Ecological Impact Assessment which included a number of Bat surveys. The design of the scheme was informed by these inputs and helped to create a sustainable scheme. This project is ongoing.
